Tottenham receive major injury boost prior to Juventus clash

Jan Vertonghen has returned from injury to face Huddersfield Town this afternoon and just in time to face Juventus in the Champions League in midweek.
Tottenham Hotspur host the Italian champions at Wembley on Wednesday with the tie currently poised at 2-2 following an enthralling first-leg in Turin.
Vertonghen’s has missed Spurs’ previous two outings with an ankle injury, however, his return hands his side a huge boost ahead of Wednesday’s crunch match.

Jan back

Pochettino makes two changes from the side that beat Crystal Palace last week as Jan Vertonghen and Heung-min Son come in for Victor Wanyama and Erik Lamela.
Meanwhile, Lucas Moura will have to wait for his first Premier League start for the Tottenham missing out on the line-up yet again this afternoon.
One notable absentee from Spurs’ matchday squad is Fernando Llorente who netted a hat-trick for the club in midweek against Rochdale.

Juventus 2-2 Tottenham

With just nine minutes on the clock in Turin, Tottenham’s Champions League dreams looked to have descended into a nightmare as a Gonzalo Higuain brace looked to have downed them.
However, in a great showing of guile and determination, Tottenham stepped up to score two past a side that had conceded just once in their last 16 games.
Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen were on hand for Spurs as the North Londoners netted two huge valuable away goals as the two sides prepare to meet again at Wembley on Wednesday.
