How Rafa Benitez has frustrated Liverpool since leaving Anfield

The revered Spaniard is yet to taste defeat against the Reds since leaving Anfield in 2010, writes Tom Cavilla
Former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez returns to Anfield once more this weekend - in what will be the fourth time that the Reds have faced up against their former boss since he left the club in 2010.
The Reds haven’t had a great deal of luck during that period, as they have failed to win any of these encounters.
Benitez, who managed the Reds for six years between 2004-2010, has taken charge of Inter Milan, Chelsea (interim), Real Madrid and Newcastle United since seeking pastures new.
Current Reds boss, Jurgen Klopp, will certainly be looking to end this run of good fortune, as his side try to secure a top-four finish.
Here is a rundown of the matches in which the Spaniard has frustrated his old club since his Anfield departure.

This was Benitez’s first game back at the place he once called home. His homecoming, however, was severely overshadowed by none other than Luis Suarez.
The Uruguayan striker infamously bit Branislav Ivanovic- an offence Suarez would later be punished for; serving a ten-game ban.
Former Chelsea midfielder, Oscar, opened the scoring with a header from a corner, to put the Blues 1-0 up at half-time.
However, Brendan Rodgers’ men came out firing for the second half, as Daniel Sturridge scored seven minutes after the interval against his former side to restore parity.

But, Suarez’s handball inside the box allowed Chelsea to regain their advantage, just four minutes after Liverpool had equalised. Eden Hazard converted his spot-kick to make it 2-1.
Things then went from bad to worse for the 31-year-old Reds marksman.
