JAMB withdraws admission list sent to varsities8

jamb logoThe Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board on Sunday announced that it has withdrawn the list of admissions sent to respective universities earlier.
Fabian Benjamin JAMBs Head of Media in a statement on Sunday adviser candidates not to panic adding that ” this is part of the process of the 2016 admission exercise. “
He said further “JAMB regrets any inconvenience this decision would have caused the tertiary institutions“The Board regrets any inconvenience it’s proactive step would have caused the tertiary institutions.”
There had been so much back and forth movements over the 2016 admission process making many candidates to panic.

Senate says Nigeria accounts for 40% of gas flared annually in Africa The Senate said on Wednesday that Nigeria accounts for over 40 per cent of the gas flared annually across Africa,  which amounts to about $7 billion in waste, Vanguard reports. It also declared Nigeria was losing over $2.5 billion to gas-flaring  annually and that the country also accounts for an estimated two billion standard cubic feet of flared gas, which amounts to about 19 per cent of gas flared globally. The upper legislative chamber has, therefore, set in motion a machinery to repeal the 39-year-old law which recommends only N10 as fine for gas flaring.
