RT. HON. GEORGE ALLI MOVES TO TIGHTEN SECURITY IN OTUKPO, TASKS NSCDC ZONAL COMMMANDER ON NEED TO COLLABORATE WITH POLICE, ARMY, OTHERS TO TACKLE CRIMINALITY.

The Capacity and Proactive Chairman of Otukpo Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. George Alli has Wednesday 29th July, 2020 tasked ACC Tuhira Dennis, the Zonal Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), in Charge of Benue South on the need to collaborate with other security agencies like the Police, Army, DSS, and other domestic security outfits like the Homeland Defense and vigilante groups to rid Otukpo and other parts of Zone "C"of criminal elements.
Hon. Alli who recieved Tuhira at the Otukpo LGA secretariat thanked the NSCDC boss for the courtesy visit as he emphasized on synergic discharge of duties among the different security agencies by saying "the safety of lives and properties is top on my priority list, and as the Chief Security Officer of Otukpo local Government Area, I can't achieve my desire result without the complete cooperation of all the security agencies. All hands must be on deck for our people to live and carry out their daily activities freely.
"I appreciate you greatly for taking out time out of your busy schedule to pay the council a visit today and I'm also using this avenue to assure you of my undaunted support at all times."
Tuhira on his part, congratulated the award winning Chairman on his re-election as the council boss once again as he promised to effectively carry out his job as a security Chief in the Zone.
Similarly, Hon. Alli had earlier urged other security Chiefs who paid him visits before this time to do same in their different capacities.
As a follow up, the Chairman after receiving several complaints and petitions from OTC on the lapses at the security department of the Otukpo main Market is set to restructure and overhaul the department with more capable hands and able young men from the Homeland Defense security wing.
