SHOCKING: President Buhari’s letter to the senate today was full of lies – APC Senator said

Senator Shehu Sani has dismissed President Muhammadu Buhari’s claim in a recent letter to the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria over the report indicting the Secretary of the Government of the Federation, Mr. Babachir Lawal, over grass-cutting scandal involving a company belonging to Babachir.
Shehu who spoke after the letter from Mr. President was read by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, said that Buhari is fighting corruption with double standard.

President Buhari had noted in his letter to the senate that the report indicting the SGF was a minority report because it was signed only by three (3) out of nine (9) members of the Senate Ah-hoc committee led by Shehu Sani.
Buhari also noted that Mr. Babachir and the company, Rholavision, was not given fair hearing on the matter.

Senate says Nigeria accounts for 40% of gas flared annually in Africa The Senate said on Wednesday that Nigeria accounts for over 40 per cent of the gas flared annually across Africa,  which amounts to about $7 billion in waste, Vanguard reports. It also declared Nigeria was losing over $2.5 billion to gas-flaring  annually and that the country also accounts for an estimated two billion standard cubic feet of flared gas, which amounts to about 19 per cent of gas flared globally.
